After more than a year of working on the changes to the existing program, it became obvious that a new system had to be worked out because the old one was not nearly designed to meet all their needs. After a few months of reviewing and testing possible tools, we decided to get a winning combination, the one we started to apply: Java as the primary language, MySQL as a database, the ZK library as the user interface tool. We also spent more than two months defining the basic project settings for developing vehicle tracking software.
